Is Victory a silent American?

I noticed in many forums and even my favorite mag, Rider doesn't focus much on Victory cycles as a real competitor in the cruiser arena. I don't know if it's an oversight or blind ignorance, but as a owner, it seems odd that an American company doesn't receive its due as much as others. I have noticed in the past few weeks a lot of mention to Harley's which are no doubt great bikes have some competition in the smaller company at more affordable prices. That's what drew me in, along with gas prices the way they are, I couldn't overextend myself on a bike just to save gas. Victory was outlet and a good one. I have been very pleased and aside from some recent battery issues, it is a great bike. I plan to upgrade soon to get more experiences on different types and even plan on getting one for the "old lady" soon. Thanks for all you do , its a great magazine and have received a ton of information from the forums. Just adding my 2 cents, Charles aka "Token"

RE: What's wrong with my bike?

Thanks everyone for the great advise. I think it was a combination of problems now. I have an 2002 Victory, not a commonly used bike around me. Most people have either Harley's or some metric version of a cruiser. Not gonna tell you what the wife thinks. As I took the battery off the bike the screws that connect the wires to the terminals the screws broke and the terminals were cracked. Getting a new battery and see if that fixes the issue. I have a trickle charger on the way in the meantime.

What's wrong with my bike?

I am having a battery problem, but I don't know if it's the battery or something else. It sits on a charger when not in use, but everytime I take it for a ride, when I shut it off(to get gas, or food) it drops almost have the needed volts to crank up again and I end up clutch starting most of the time which is great exercise but very tiring. Any suggestions other than buy a new battery, that one I already know?

Traveling space

Does anyone know of any luggage rack suggestions that can be upgraded from the standard touring racks? I have an 02 victory and need a wider track rack like those of the harleys, but it must be able to fit on my bike without some construction.
